The Quemao wave wakes up!
The countdown begins for the 'QUEMAO Class presented by Billabong', which will once again bring together the best surfers and bodyboarders in the world to face the It is one of the most powerful, dangerous and spectacular waves in Europe.
A total of 64 athletes, 32 surfers and 32 bodyboarders, invited by the organization have already confirmed their attendance and are preparing to face the difficulty of this wave. Reference athletes both nationally and internationally, such as Aritz Aranburu (BASQUE COUNTRY), Amaury Lavernhe (REUNION ISLAND), Manuel Lezcano (LANZAROTE), Joan Duru (FRANCE), Mike Stewart (HAWAI), Eithan Osborne (USA) and José María Cabrera (LANZAROTE).< br>
For now, the event is in a waiting period, and the notice format is based on a color alert system. In this way, the orange alert, the current one, refers to the waiting period; the yellow alert indicates that there could be a “attempted” event; and the green alert will be given with the confirmation of the date for the contest dispute.
The launch of the official poster of this, the 6th edition, raises expectations even more while waiting for the perfect conditions. As in the previous ones, and thanks to public and private entities, in this new edition the safety and well-being of both the athletes and the island of Lanzarote will be prioritized.
